ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Little Oak Montessori School (LOMS) welcomes children of all races, religions, socio-economic status, abilities and ethnic backgrounds. The prime consideration when admitting new children is to create a well-balanced classroom, so that each child will thrive. The admission process starts with a scheduled appointment to observe the Little Oak environment.
Observation
- Observations are usually 30 minutes in length. One or both parents may attend.
*We recommend that this first visit, if possible, be without your child. During this time, you will be able to experience the atmosphere and relationships that occur in this special environment.
One-on-One Question and Answer session:
- Following the Observation, a one-on-one Question and Answer session with our Lead Guide may be scheduled. This is an opportunity to meet with our teachers and ask questions pertaining to our school, observation and Montessori education.
Application Form
- Once it is deemed that Little Oak is a good fit for the family and school, the family is asked to fill out an application form. Once LOMS receives the application, a student orientation is scheduled.
Student Orientation
- Student Orientations are for the student only. This gives the student the time to meet his/her teacher and become familiar with the classroom environment/school, cubby, and classroom materials.
Enrollment
An enrollment packet which includes school calendar, directory, and parent handbook will be given to the family at this time.
- A start date will be set for the beginning of the month (if enrolling mid-year).
- First month’s tuition is due prior to enrollment. (Please see tuition & schedule for fee information.)
- Please return enrollment forms, enrollment fee and tuition to the school’s administrator.
